Relationship coaching
Room for connection
Do you find yourselves back-to-back when you'd really rather stand side by side? Or has it grown quieter between you than you'd like, for longer than you'd like? You haven't ended up here by accident — and that in itself is a sign of courage.
Back to connection
With openness, honesty, and attention to authenticity, I help couples rediscover the connection when it currently feels far away. Together we explore the underlying emotions, feelings, and insecurities that affect your relationship, and uncover why things aren't currently going the way you'd like.
We look at what makes you stronger, and how you can (re)shape life together as a team in a way that does work — so you can hold on to the loving relationship you deserve.
Not necessarily staying together
The goal of this process isn't necessarily to stay together. Sometimes the focus is on repair and deepening the relationship, sometimes on strengthening the bond, and sometimes on a respectful separation. In every case, we work toward clarity, honesty, and a conscious choice that feels right for both of you.
“In every case, we work toward clarity, honesty, and a conscious choice that feels right for both of you.”
Room for who you are, too
Alongside working on the relationship, I pay attention to individual themes that affect your dynamic — stress, anxiety, trauma, or grief. By including these themes, we strengthen not only the connection between you, but also each person's individual wellbeing.
Using approaches such as EFT, ACT, and IBCT, among others, we explore the feelings hiding beneath arguments, disagreements, avoidance, or distance. This creates space to reconnect and to truly see each other again.
When there are children
How do you live together without losing yourself? And who are you as a parent — who are you together as parents, and which values and life lessons do you want to pass on? Are you the partner you'd also wish for your own child — or would you want more for your child?
The first step
You've ended up on this page because you might be searching within your relationship, feeling somewhat — or completely — disconnected from each other, and sensing that something extra is needed right now. The fact that you've started searching means you're already willing to invest.
I'd love to walk alongside you on this path for a while. Schedule a no-obligation introductory conversation and find out if this is right for you.
So, don't live your life as if it's the dress rehearsal. Live your life as the show — because you only get to do it once!

About me
Jolien Jongen-Ritzen
“I see you” — it's inked as a small tattoo on my wrist. A short phrase that sums up everything for me. But what does it actually mean to truly see yourself and the other person? To see someone as the whole person they are, but just as important: to see yourself in the person you are.
My name is Jolien Jongen-Ritzen. I live in Veldhoven with my partner Joris and our two daughters, Juul and Roos. From a young age, I've been someone who thrives on social interaction. That led to my first job as a teacher in special (secondary) education, where I worked with young people with severe behavioral problems. After many valuable years, I felt: it's time for a new step, and I started as a trainer in Connecting Authority (Verbindend Gezag) and Non-Violent Resistance. In this role, I'm still active as an education advisor. I guide school teams, parents, and professionals in how to relate to one another, especially when things get complicated. I also have experience supporting parenting situations, families, and interactions with children. Through all these different roles, I've gained a lot of experience coaching people and understanding patterns within social interaction and within families — particularly in moving fluidly between the different layers present in contact between people.
Alongside this work, I'd long dreamed of having my own practice for relationship coaching. Through my own relationship, the relationships of people around me, my experience with Connecting Authority, my bachelor's-level training as a relationship coach, and simply the reality of life, I came to see how beautiful a loving relationship can be — but also that it only works when partners keep seeing each other. In the beautiful moments, and in the moments when life asks more of you than you can carry at that time.
To make that dream come true, I completed the training to become a relationship coach and started my own practice.

Intake
We map out your situation and goals.
Trajectory
Weekly or biweekly sessions, tailored to you.
Evaluation
We look back together and determine next steps.
The first contact is by phone. After filling in the contact form on the site, I get in touch with you/you both. In a short call I explain the intake form and we schedule the intake. The form is then sent to you by email.
During the intake conversation we explore together what you need and whether my guidance is a good fit for that.
When we decide to start the process, we schedule three sessions in advance right away. In most cases a process consists of five to seven sessions, but the guidance is always tailored to your wishes and situation.
Practical information
First step
Intake
* If we decide after the intake not to proceed, I will invoice €95 (incl. VAT) for this, one time only.
Sessions · 60 minutes
All amounts are in euros and include VAT.
Need a quick check-in between sessions? € 15 per 10 minutes, online (incl. VAT).
Location of the sessions
At the moment, I come to your home. As a starting practice, I deliberately choose this. It also offers practical advantages: I can also visit in the evenings, at times that work well for you. You're also in a familiar environment, which often helps you feel at ease more quickly and freer to be yourself.
Where needed, we can also arrange an online appointment — for example, when a brief conversation is desirable. For this, we can also use a punch card, allowing me to briefly check in with you between sessions.
In some situations, we can choose to do a walking session or plan the appointment at a different location. This way, we tailor the process to what is helpful and desirable for you.
Online check-in
Sometimes you just need someone to spar with for a moment — short and in the moment. Maybe you're stuck on something, or something is going on that can't wait until our next appointment. For those moments, I want to be there for you at short notice.
Often it's enough to spar briefly, align, or simply get something off your chest. Letting off steam, or being heard — so you can carry on before the tension builds up too much.
Life can't always be planned. That's why I find it important to offer you this space.
Through the short online check-in, we can schedule a brief online moment at short notice, the same day or within a few days. You only pay for the time we actually spend talking, billed in 10-minute blocks.
